RefDat is a free reference data network providing fast, accurate lookups for commonly searched information. Our Australian Postcodes directory is the first in a planned series of data reference tools.

What We Offer

Our postcode directory covers every suburb and locality in Australia — over 18,000 entries across all states and territories. Each suburb page includes the postcode, phone area code, geographic coordinates, local government area, federal electorate, statistical region classifications, and distance from the state capital.

Our Data

Postcode and locality data is sourced from publicly available government datasets, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics geographic classifications. We cross-reference multiple community-maintained databases to ensure accuracy, and update our records regularly.
